My bf put a dent in my car, what should I do?

It's kind of a funny story...yesterday my boyfriend got his license so I let him drive my car, and as he was backing out of his own driveway he hit a pipe thing and dented my car D: (at first we both laughed) he feels so bad...he says he's going to pay for it all to get fixed and everything. We already had a friend of mine suction the dent out (didnt work) and he tried to take off the door panel to undent it but he couldn't figure out how to get the window crank off. I told my parents that I put the dent in my car already because I know I'd get in more trouble for having someone else drive my car. But my bfs dad said he could fix the door for 700 (normally over a 1000) but I don't want to make him pay that. And his mom (who knows what happened) wants me to ask my parents to file a claim so I can get 200 some dollars off of it but they really don't seem to care about the dent...(its really not SO bad) but my bf says he's going to get it fixed no matter what. What do I do?
