Can you join the Marines if your gf is pregnant?

Ok so im in the DEP for the Marine Corps and i talked my buddy into enlisting in sept, he just called me and said his gf might be pregnant. Hes 17 and shes turning 16 in 2 weeks. I leave for bootcamp in May and my recruiter said if my friend were to enlist in sept he too could leave for boot in May. But if his gf is pregnant and has the kid 9 months later he would be a father before leaving for boot. Would you still be able to enlist if you had a gf pregnant and she was scheduled to give birth before your ship date? My recruiter is in Sacramento right now or i would ask him
